Best eSIM for Singapore
Singtel, StarHub and M1 cover the whole of Singapore, and Singtel has 5G throughout the MRT. SIMBA is a smaller fourth network. Any travel eSIM will work well, so choose on price, and on whether you're adding Malaysia, Indonesia or the rest of Southeast Asia.

Network notes
Singtel, StarHub and M1 all have full island coverage, with 5G across most of Singapore. SIMBA (formerly TPG) is the newest network and fine for most visitors. You’ll have signal underground on the MRT, in hawker centres and at Changi.
Practical connectivity tips
- Install before you land. Changi has free Wi-Fi, but you’ll want data for Grab or the MRT from arrivals.
- Apps you’ll want online: Grab (rides and food), Gojek and TADA (rides), Citymapper or Google Maps, and MyTransport.SG. You can tap a contactless bank card or phone wallet on the MRT and buses.
- Short stopovers: even a 1 GB plan is enough for a day of maps, Grab and messaging.
Watch out for
- Day trips to Johor Bahru or Batam need a plan that covers Malaysia or Indonesia. Near the causeway your phone may also connect to a Malaysian network.
- Cheap plans that route through Hong Kong can block some services, like ChatGPT. Talisim’s StarHub plan avoids that.
- Sentosa and the outer islands (Pulau Ubin) are covered, but signal is weaker in the wooded parts of Pulau Ubin.
