Best eSIM for Brazil
Brazil has three national networks — Vivo, Claro and TIM — with good 4G and growing 5G in Rio, São Paulo and the big coastal cities. Coverage thins in the Amazon, the Pantanal and the interior. WhatsApp is essential in Brazil, so you'll want data from the moment you land.

- Best for unlimited data: Holafly Brazil — from $28.50 for 7 days, but hotspot is capped at about 500 MB–1 GB a day

| Talisim | $22.80 | Claro, TIM, Vivo |
| Airalo | $23.00 | TIM |

Network notes
Vivo is the biggest network, but TIM has the widest 4G footprint, with Claro close behind. All three have 5G in the big cities.
Talisim’s Brazil plans can use all three networks, which is useful when you travel between regions.
Practical connectivity tips
- Install before you land. You’ll want data for Uber or 99 at the airport.
- Apps you’ll want online: WhatsApp (restaurants, tour operators, hotels and even shops use it), Uber and 99 (rides), iFood (food delivery), and Google Maps.
- Pix, Brazil’s instant payment system, is everywhere, but it usually needs a Brazilian bank account. Cards work in most places; carry some cash too.
- The Amazon and Pantanal: lodges often have only satellite Wi-Fi. Expect no mobile signal on the rivers.
Watch out for
- Phone theft is common in busy parts of Rio and São Paulo. Keep your phone out of sight on the street and on the beach. An eSIM can’t be pulled out and reused, but set a strong lock screen anyway.
- Carnival crowds can overload the networks. Agree a meeting point with your group in advance.
- Remote beaches and islands (Fernando de Noronha, parts of Bahia) have limited signal.
